Establishment of SUN RVS in Amsterdam
SUN RVS, or Scheeps Uitrusting Nederland, was founded in 1958 with the vision of providing high quality stainless steel and aluminum solutions to the shipping industry. From the beginning, craftsmanship and customer focus were central to our operations.
Moved to Bemmel
In 1998 SUN moved to Bemmel, where a spacious hall was built for production, offices and storage. This move enabled more efficient operations, and in 2004 the hall was further expanded to meet growing demand.
Wilie Verberck at the helm
In 2007, Wilie Verberck took the helm at SUN and Sun Marine Seats, giving the company a new direction and renewed energy. His years of experience within the industry brought a fresh vision that further strengthened SUN's professionalization.
Acquisition Abucon BV
In 2017, SUN acquired Abucon, a specialist in stainless steel pipe and tank construction for food and chemicals. This acquisition increased production capacity and enabled SUN to be more innovative and better respond to growing customer demand.
Ready for the future
After the difficult corona years, SUN has the wind back in its sails. With a strong team and promising projects ahead, SUN continues to strive for innovation and success in 2025. The team is ready to exceed customer expectations whenever possible and reach new technical heights.
